Oh Joy Inspired Birthday for Two Sisters

I just love the Oh Joy collections at Target; their spring party collection from last year inspired so much use of color and pop and whimsy and beauty in my mind for this birthday party for my two oldest girls, Taya and Dyllan.  They were turning 7 & 4, so we held a combined birthday party with lots of their friends, and played classic games like musical chairs, pin the mouth on the Betty, and a fun photo booth.  The kids loved it and especially enjoyed grabbing candy from the table display for their goody bags at the end.  The Oh Joy themed banners from The Banner Shop were the finishing touch I was looking for and pulled it all together.  With the help of friends on the cake the Italian crepe paper cutting, and the gathering of colorful vases, I was able to hostess and photograph our favorite birthday party yet.  There is no way I could have done it all by myself, using the help of dear friends was key.  I think they all enjoyed seeing the end results and having their cute girls join the party as well, so I was able to sleep that night despite consuming a little of their time!  😉

Anyway, take a looksy and oh joy!  I mean, Enjoy!!

(That’s right, I did just make that joke, it was too easy not to use 😉  ).

First you see it untouched….

Now, for the birthday action…

I think every good party ends in a mess.
