Dining and Hiking; An Adventurous Engagement Session with Marissa and John

Recently I photographed engagement photos for Marissa and John.  They’re both from New Jersey, but it took both of them moving out to Arizona to meet.  They’re so kind and genuine to be around, and they have amazing ideas like proposing in a grove of aspen trees with not another soul in sight, and bringing in double decker buses to transport guests to their Desert Botanical Garden wedding that I will be photographing in 2017.  Because Marissa and John love eating out together, as well as hiking together, we decided that they needed a two-part engagement feature; Dining, and Hiking…

(Many thanks to St. Francis restaurant in downtown Phoenix for graciously hosting our photo shoot.  We can’t recommend St. Francis enough.  Their food, ambiance, architecture, and service are delicious, artistic, beautiful, and genuine.  It’s a must-eat in the Phoenix Valley).

A little more restaurant exploration at St. Francis restaurant after their h’orderves.

Marissa and John introduced me to Squaw Peak; how had I not hiked or photographed there before?  I don’t know…  But I can’t wait to go back.

There is one surprise from this hiking part of our shoot that Marissa and John will get to share with their friends.  Let’s just say it involves their 4-legged cutie.  🙂

Marissa and John, thank you for choosing me to be your engagement and wedding photographer.    ..Paul and I cannot wait to photograph your wedding next year!!
